I really appreciate the warm welcome. I do hope that these exercises will
be helpful, but everything that you are all doing is extremely helpful for
me as well, so any appreciation on your part goes double for me.

That said, please see two minor mistypes below that I have corrected. I'll
keep these to a minimum in the future with extra proofreading.

Another note:

I've decided, after thinking about it a bit and then reading Piya's message,
to do two translations of each section of the exercise starting with my next
post on Friday. First, I will do a more literal translation, and then right
below it a more idiomatic and aesthetic English translation. Of course,
this will not be necessary in each case. However, in the more advanced
exercises, it will likely occur more often than not.

upa+sa.m+kam (.m and not simply m in sa.m)
