Instead of pointed: PTS: pressed. I would omit stepped upon.
Instead of hurt: pierce. As I see it, the point is that it should pierce,
that that is a good thing. Perhaps it is a doctor who should do this? It is
positive. The comparison with the monk who has to pierce ignorance. That is
the comparison.
