Thanks for the quick reply, it helps me moves on with the Hebrew
translation. However, I still would like to know, if there is any way
of knowing grammatically whether option 1 or 2 is more appropriate,
and if there are any references in the Suttas which can help in this
matter.
The reason I ask, is that sometimes the commentary material have
somewhat different outlook at some issues. I am trying to translate
the Suttas without using much of the commentary, but more with other
sutta material which can clarify issues.
