I'm trying to translate a passage which describe the jhaanas. In the
second jhaana it says:
bhikkhuu vitakkavicaarana.m vuupasamaa ajjhatta.m sampasaadana.m
cetaso ekodibhaava.m.....
My questions are:
1. Why vicaarana.m? It is not a Genative plural, so why the
additional n?
2. ajjhatta.m sampasaadana.m translate in the English translation I
have as "internal assurance", but I couldn't find the form
sampasaadana.m in the dictionary as "confidence". Is it an action
noun with the suffix ana?
I would appreciate any help.
