I thought that's what I just said? 8-)

My technique where possible is to search with the words of the phrase that
lack diactritics &c, so in the above phrase I'd search for "labhati tam pi"
which should be the same in all the font systems.

I would have thought there would be a way of searching all font variants of
a particular word or phrase but it's beyond my primitive abilities to devise
it.

Has anyone come up with something like this?

Before long everything will probably have been moved to unicode & things
will become less difficult.

PS If it's just the Tipi.taka you're wanting to search then you can either
acquire the CSCD (basically free) and use it's search engine or download the
Tipi.taka and search it with grep or your word processor in whatever format
you desire.
