Dear Yong Peng,

I think it might be a good idea to include the vagga number in your
heading too, e.g. "AN1-2: Niivara.nppahaana Vagga". Most people would
be more familiar with the reference in that form.

> Please help to explain:
> 1. bhiyyobhaavaaya vepullaaya
> 2. karoto

bhiyyobhaava = increase, multiplication (bhiyyo=more, bhaava=becoming)
vepulla = full development, abundance
These are both in dative case and related to sa.mvattati, thus
something like "leads to increase and full development".

karoto = the genitive/dative of the present participle (karonto) of
"karoti" (do, make).
manasi+karoti = literally "makes the mind", or more idiomatically
"pays attention, attends".
Thus "ayoniso manasi karoto" = "for one attending carelessly".

Metta,
John
