Dear Nina, John and friends,

thanks again. I am thinking if we can write "(citta.m) pariyaadaaya
ti.t.thati" as "overwhelms (the mind) and lingers". What do you think?

metta,
Yong Peng.

with "persists in captivating".

N: I think that is about the same.

> "pariyaadaaya ti.t.thati" persists in overwhelming. The
word 'captivates' seems to mean just that but not exact, and I was
thinking in that direction for a better single word that can be
faithful to the two Pali "pariyaadaaya ti.t.thati".

N: One word may be difficult. Originally you suggested: persistently
overwhelm. There were many options in the different English
translations.
