Dear John and friends,

thanks for your pointing out of the avyayiibhaava. I think Ven.
Narada is not wrong, but in Lesson 21, he produced a list of
different words using prefixes without further explanation.

In Warder's pg 188, it says: Words formed with the prefixes su- and du
(r)- may be regarded as compounds. If they function as nouns they
will be [K]ammadhaarayas, if as adjectives, [B]ahubbiihis.

I may not be right, but from these information, I use the convention
of recognising words with prefixes by their functions:

noun: [K]ammadhaaraya
adjective: [B]ahubbiihi
adverb: [A]vyayiibhaava
verb: [V]erbal Pre[f]ix

What do you think?

I have posted an updated solutions online:

I have also corrected #9 and #10.

metta,
Yong Peng.

The vocative case is always enclitic (see Warder p.32). Therefore:
aha.m daarakaa idaani tumhe pucchissaami.

I agree with Rhett that "tesa.m" should be left out of sentences like
this altogether. If one wanted to stress that it was one's own
ability, then attan or similar would be used.
