Just a quick reply before going for class:

I think this is an excellent idea: translating the Anguttara.

However, from past experience, looking at various large projects, I think it is
better to go in stages.

Stage 1: Translate the texts first. This could trilinear, but without grammatical
analysis (which could be second or later stage).
