N: oh no, what would be the list without you. Please do not unsubscribe.

At times there may be sharp tongues, but someone with a sharp tongue may
have a good heart. I know several kind people with sharp tongues. Generally
the intention is good but people may write on the spur of the moment.
We all know that Internet is a difficult medium, no gestures, no mimics. A
post is quickly sent and one does not realize the effect it has.
As I learnt in the course of years, we should not take anything too personal
or too heavily. Sometimes it is hard to swallow, but an unpleasant
experience is gone immediately.
As Piya suggests one can also write personally in case of misunderstandings,
and then great friendships can result. I have done this in another list.
Venerable Dhammanando's suggestion:
I think it is good and interesting to concentrate just on the texts. A kind
of rest after debates elsewhere on another list!
Nina.
