Dear all,

It appears I have a completely different response than
Timothy does to the latest heated, and long drawn-out
exchange. For me it has not been at all illuminating
or pleasant in any way - just a few guys (sad that
it's all males!) mostly posturing and clinging to
views. More than once I have been tempted to
unsubscribe, but each time I remember all the good
people on it, and the helpful Pali work we have done
over the years. I'm hoping that cooler heads will
prevail, and that our list-master will consider
blocking mail from those one or two people who
continue to spit venom.

Let's have more Pali on this list, and less polemics -
and always great respect for each other. I'm sure
there are plenty of other lists available where people
can argue about doctrine to their hearts content.
