As I mentioned in an earlier post, see Warder p.80 where he discusses
the order of patients when we have the unusual situation of a
sentence with 3 patients, like this one - 1) sons, 2) cattle, 3)
grass.
Thus, I would suggest re-ordering the sentence like this:
Tesa.m putte gava.m ti.na.m daapetvaa kassakaa nagara.m agami.msu.
> 9. People reverence him on account of his asceticism.
> Manussaa (tassa) tapaso ta.m puujenti.
In this sentence, note that Narada has mangled his English -
"reverence" is a noun, not a verb. It should be:
9. People revere him on account of his asceticism.
