I think monks (ie preceptors) from any Theravada order of Thailand, Myanmar and Sri Lank (or any other area) can ordain anyone into the same order.

However, peculiarly, orders from the caste-based Siam Nikaya (the most money-minded with much property) do not ordain or are unlikely to ordain members of other caste who would either join the Amarapura or Rama~n~na. Similarly in Thailand, Maha Nikaya and Dhammayuttika sects do not cross-ordain.

The forest monks of Ajahn Chah (like Ajahn Sumedho) and the degree-conscious monks of Sri Lanka belong to the same order However, the former meditate, the latter premeditate.
