Dear John, Rett and friends,

thanks for your kind compliments. It is really my honour to earn your
acquaintance, friends like you are indeed gems in a desert. To me, I
have merely started a tiny little spark, it is really you who have
nurtured it into a nice and warm flame, and kept it burning. I like
to take this opportunity to show my appreciation for the time and
guidance everyone has so generously and thoughtfully given. Thank
you. Without your contributions, there wouldn't be the group as we
recognise today.

To me, the objective of learning Pali is always about understanding
the Buddha's teachings. However, as the Buddha himself has said, what
he taught is a tiny fraction of all which he knew. His wise saying
tells us that knowledge is unlimited and immeasurable. While the
Buddhist corpus is comparatively massive in size, the Buddha has
cautioned us not to disregard and neglect new understandings of life
and the world as been discovered each day and moment by explorers,
scientists, researchers, and within the inquiring minds we call our
own.

With metta,
Yong Peng.
