Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu anekavihita.m iddhividha.m[2] paccanubhoti-
ekopi hutvaa bahudhaa hoti, bahudhaapi hutvaa eko hoti; aavibhaava.m
tirobhaava.m; tiroku.t.ta.m tiropaakaara.m tiropabbata.m asajjamaano
gacchati, seyyathaapi aakaase; pathaviyaapi ummujjanimujja.m karoti,
seyyathaapi udake; udakepi abhijjamaane gacchati, seyyathaapi
pathaviya.m; aakaasepi palla"nkena kamati, seyyathaapi pakkhii
saku.no; imepi candimasuuriye eva.mmahiddhike eva.mmahaanubhaave

Here, o Bhikkhus, a Bhikkhu experiences forms of power in numerous
variety: after having been one, is many and, after having been many,
is one; been visible to being beyond visibility; beyond fences, beyond
walls, beyond mountains he goes unhindered just as in air; and in
earth he makes emergences and submergences, just as in water; and in
the air he goes with legs crossed, just as a winged bird; and the sun
and the moon - so great in power, so great in force, these he strokes,
he fondles with his hand; yea, as far as the Brahma world, his bodily
might is made to extend.

"Dibbaaya, sotadhaatuyaa visuddhaaya atikkantamaanusikaaya ubho sadde
su.naati- dibbe ca maanuse ca, ye duure santike ca.
/with the divine /ear element /purified /surpassing that of humankind
/both /sounds /he hears /divine /and /human /and /which /far /near

With the divine ear element, purified, surpassing that of humankind,
both sounds does he hear - divine and human, which are far and near.

duggate yathaakammuupage satte pajaanaati-

/sees /falling away /rising up /inferior /exalted /colourful
/discoloured /gone to good /gone to bad / whatever going according to
kamma /beings /he comprehends /
With the divine eye, purified, surpassing that of humankind, he sees
beings falling away and rising up again; inferior, exalted, colourful,
discoloured, gone to good, gone to bad - whatever beings going
according to kamma, these he comprehends-

ariyaana.m upavaadakaa micchaadi.t.thikaa
micchaadi.t.thikammasamaadaanaa, te kaayassa bhedaa para.m mara.naa

/these /indeed /respected /beings /with bodily misconduct /endowed
/with verbal misconduct /endowed /with mental misconduct /endowed /of
the noble ones /insulters /holders of wrong view /acquiring the kamma
of wrong view /they /of the body /the breaking /after /death /loss
/bad destination /ruin /hell /come into /
Indeed, these respected beings endowed with bodily misconduct, endowed
with verbal misconduct, endowed with mental misconduct, insulters of
the nobles ones, holders of wrong view, acquiring the kamma of wrong
view they, at the breaking up of the body, after death come into a
state of loss, into a bad destination, into ruin, into hell.

Ime vaa pana bhonto sattaa kaayasucaritena samannaagataa
vaciisucaritena samannaagataa manosucaritena samannaagataa ariyaana.m
anupavaadakaa sammaadi.t.thikaa sammaadi.t.thikammasamaadaanaa, te
kaayassa bhedaa para.m mara.naa sugati.m sagga.m loka.m upapannaa'ti.
/these /indeed /respected /beings /with good bodily conduct /endowed
/with good verbal conduct /endowed /with good mental conduct /endowed
/of the noble ones /non-insulters /holders of right view /acquiring
the kamma of right view /they /of the body /the breaking /after /death
/good destination /heavenly /world /come into /
Indeed, these respected beings endowed with good bodily conduct,
endowed with good verbal conduct, endowed with good verbal conduct,
non-insulters of the nobles ones, holders of right view, acquiring the
kamma of right view they, at the breaking up of the body, after death
come into a good destination, the heavenly world.

Iti dibbena cakkhunaa visuddhena atikkantamaanusakena satte passati
cavamaane upapajjamaane hiine pa.niite suva.n.ne dubba.n.ne, sugate
duggate yathaakammuupage satte pajaanaati.

going according to kamma, these he comprehends.

"Aasavaana.m khayaa anaasava.m[3] cetovimutti.m pa~n~naavimutti.m
di.t.theva dhamme saya.m abhi~n~naa sacchikatvaa upasampajja viharati.
/of intoxications /destruction /without intoxication /liberated
through mind /liberated through wisdom /truly see-able/dhammas
/himself /realization /having gained with one's own eyes /dwells
content.

"Imehi kho, bhikkhave, chahi dhammehi samannaagato bhikkhu aahuneyyo
hoti ...pe... anuttara.mpu~n~nakkhetta.m lokassaa"ti.
/with these /indeed /o Bhikkhus /six /dhammas /endowed /a Bhikkhu
/worthy of adoration /is /. /unsurpassed /field of goodness /for the
world /
Indeed, o Bhikkhus, endowed with these six dhammas, a Bhikkhu is
worthy of adoration, . an unsurpassed field of goodness for the world.
