N: In Thailand people say anumodana. I think in Sri Lanka more often saadhu.
You express your appreciation of someone else's kusala. It is a way of
daana, anumodana daana, one of the ten puññakiriya vatthus. You can express
it by gesture or speech. The kusala citta is with muditaa, sympathetic joy,
at that moment.
It does not matter by which words you express your appreciation, the kusala
citta motivates it.
Nina.
