Hello Ven Pandita,


Thanks for sending the link. However, there is no English
translation on there. It only has the Thai (Siam Rat) version of the
Tipitaka & atthakatha in Pali and Thai. The site is fairly clumsy
and access to the text is only through downloaded zip files, which
when i opened them just were gibberish. I expect that i need a Thai
system to read them (though i could read the Thai on the site itself
easily enough). Anyway, i think it is extremely unlikely that an
organization that is so English-unfriendly should have produced an
entire English translation of the Tripitaka.

I still think there musts be some mistake in the newspaper article;
after all, unlike the Burmese and Sinhalese, i have never heard of
the Thais producing any English translations at all, not to speak of
the tipitaka. The newspaper spoke of a printed edition presented by
a princess; surely an endevour of that scale must have made itself
known somewhere?

Well, we'll keep looking!
