Hello,

Until now, I had barely given word delimiters (spaces, dots,
etc) much thought. But what do they really represent?

When Pali is set to Roman script, are spaces placed by
convention, whim, or by distinct word separation? Are there word
delimiters in Thai, Lanna, and other scripts with no obvious (to
this western eye) word distinction?

dham maa ma no pub ba'n ga maa ma no se.t .thaa ma no ma yaa

dhammaamanopubba'ngamaamanose.t.thaamanomayaa

Mano... is often distinctly translated to English as mind, but
most often set as a prefix (sandhi?) with other words (as in
Germanic languages). Are spaces added after the case suffix?
Could misplaced spaces imply different meaning?

Thanks,
Alex
