Dear Sukhdev and friends,

if there is any bug, it would be me. It usually take a while for me
to read the messages and release them to the group. Among the active
members, the majority is not moderated. So, there may appear to be
some discrepancy in the sequence the messages enter the archive, hope
you understand.

As for the time displayed, Yahoo! is following the W3C I18N
guideline. When you logged in to Yahoo!, the time should follow what
you have set in your Yahoo! user profile. Otherwise, it is GMT/UTC.
There is one tricky part: the display of the time is made to change
according to the user's location, but in the message archive, there
is only one time, it is the time in California (PST, USA), where
Yahoo!'s HQ is.

So, if you are posting on the first day of each month. Your message
will only fall under the /new/ month if the time in California is
12midnight or later. :-)

Please also be aware that sometimes there can be delay in message
delivery. This applies to everyone in the group. Delay usually
happens during peak time on a normal workday in the United States,
when Yahoo! servers are heavily used. It also happens for longer
periods at crucial events in the world or the US. The most recent one
was during the US presidential election last year.

As for the time of the bulletin board on Tipitaka.net, it follows
Singapore time, since that's where the server is. Because the site
does not implement a user login system, it can't display different
time for different user, for now. There is a trick around this,
though.

Btw, what is the timezone diplayed on the forum? It would be nice to
have the Malaysian/Singapore time but due to internatinal
participation how about GMT?
