I'm no moderator, but:
Because of limitations of the various email clients in the world (some
email readers only do plain text, others have a limited font
selection, some are unable to render HTML, etc.) your post will be
most likely to reach everyone on the list if you limit yourself to
plain text. This list primarily uses a method called the Velthius
scheme to write characters with diacritical markings with plain text.
It's quite simple to learn and write, and is usable with any modern
computer (and most 'antiques' as well). The Velthius method is
explained in detail at Access to Insight:
http://www.accesstoinsight.org/pali/index.html#velthuis
If you are a member of the discussion group, you can also upload files
to the groups website at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pali
and clicking on the 'Files' link on the left column. You can then
link to the files in an email, or let the website send an email to the
group indicating that the file has been added.
Hope this is helpful,
Clay Collier
