Hello,
Please explain why the <singular nominative>, i.e. subject of a sentence,
change, (as per Lesson:1; "An Elementary Pali Course" by Narada Thera .
In the following words I find as example; that, nara or man; Buddha; Dhamma;
Yacaka are all in the singular, and all are the subject but in the lesson
they change from the above to respectively: naro from nara; Buddho from
Buddha; Dhammo from Dhamma and Yacako from Yacaka.
Why the switch from the "a" to an "o" at the end if they are in the same
tense, or, is this just the way they are written for some reason?
It just occurred to me while writing the above, has it got something to do
with an active or passive sentence, i.e. like for example, "A man", which
would = nara; or "The man" = naro.
Does this apply or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Thanks for you patience,
Bob
