I would like to change the words 'as long as'.
One understands the four noble Truths or not. As long as implies: it may be
a while and then one forgets.
Once these four truths are directly realized one is a sotapanna and will not
have an unhappy rebirth. The first part of the sentence seems to me the
condition for not being born in unhappy planes.
