ahatehi vatthehi acchaadaapetvaa sabbakaamehi
santappesi.

brahmins / new / clothes / having caused to be clothed
/ with all desires / he satisfied
Then, monks, King Bandhuma had the diviner brahmins
clothed in new clothes, and satisfied all their
desires.

atha kho bhikkhave Bandhumaa raajaa Vipassissa
kumaarassa tayo paasaade kaaraapesi,
then / indeed / monks / Bandhuma / king / for Vipassi
/ for the prince / three / palaces / he had made
Also, monks, King Bandhuma had three palaces built for
Prince Vipassi,

eka.m vassika.m eka.m hemantika.m eka.m gimhika.m,
pañca kaama-gu.naani upa.t.thaapesi.
one / for the rainy season / one / for winter / one /
for the summer / five / pleasure-strands / it is
provided
one for the rainy season, one for winter, and one for
summer, and provided for them the five strands of
sensual pleasure.
