I have been lurking around for a few months now and this is my first
post to the discussion. I have been wanting to learn the paali
language but have been procrastinating that for many years. Since the
new year is approaching, it is a good time to renew one's resolution.
I have seen some self-help instructions from websites and downloaded a
few e-books on paali grammar. I noticed that there are a few different
Romanised character sets as used by different authors. PTS have their
own system and Narada another. I tried looking for a FAQ on Romanised
pali character sets but have not found it yet.
Can someone here please point me to a webpage or explain how are they
different, and which is the standard now?
