Hello,
I am attempting to create tools to convert between different
scripts and transliterations of Pali. I am having difficulty
finding material related to glyph positioning and other nuances
of non-Roman scripts and languages.
For example, in Thai, vowels may appear above, below, left,
right, or in combination around the consonant it modifies. In
many scripts, vowels are implied in specific circumstances,
combinations of characters create entirely new glyphs, etc.
I have been fairly successful converting between different Roman
transliteration systems and limited success with Thai. However,
I would appreciate help, particularly from anyone more familiar
with Thai, Devanagari, Burmese, Sinhala and other south Asian
languages.
Cheers,
Alex
