Hi June,

j> I've gone through some of the older messages, but they are very
j> confusing indeed. Can someone here suggest to me an easy way to
j> type Pali using MS word? Is there an easy and a straight-forward way?

In MS Word 2000 the easy way is to:

- find "Insert" in the upper panel;
- go to "Insert - Symbol";
- select a desired font;
- find a character;
- assign a keybord shortcut using the button.

VriRomanPali is not compatible with other fonts. It also presents
difficulties with formatting, such as splitting of the words.
Let me advise you to use Unicode-compatible fonts.
They can be found in the "Pali - Fonts" section of the Sadhu!
directory http://dhamma.ru/sadhu/
