The Dictionary of Pali Proper Names has an entry for "Suppaara,
Suppaaraka" in which it says that it is a seaport in India and also
has:
"Suppaaraka (Skt. Surparaka) is identified with the modern Sopaara in
the Thaana district, to the north of Bombay." -- p. 1223
