"The Legend of Buddha", that claims to be India's first 2D animation
film was screened for the press in Mumbai yesterday evening.

The film which is a joint venture of artists from India, Singapore,
and the Philippines, will hit theatres in India this Friday.

Produced by Pentamedia Graphics Ltd, based in India and co-produced
by the Economic Development Board of Singapore, this 90 minute 2D
animated feature depicts the life of Buddha.

More than 400 animators and artists contributed their expertise to
complete the production without any hitches.

The film begins with Siddharta renouncing his kingdom and adopting
the life of a wandering ascetic. (ANI)
