Thanks for this version. Talking of serendipity, I also happened to have
just come across an article in Heinz Bechert's "Language of the Earliest
Buddhist Tradition" (Gottingen 1980) by Ernst Waldschidt discussing inter
alia the Central Asian fragments of AN I.11 that sparked several of the
current threads, though he does not mention anything that would be relevent
to these threads here. I think that since he wrote that article, CB
Tripathi has published his monograph on these Ekottara fragments as
"Ekottara-aagama-Fragmente der Gilgit-Handschrift".
