Dear Stephen and friends,
ny previous post may have been misleading to suggest that quantum is
a "form". I am sorry if it has confused you. I am no quantum
scientist, and anyone who knows better please help me. Basically,
quantum science looks into the dual nature of wave and particle, and
according to quantum science: light itself contains particles call
photons. A comprehensive introduction to the subject may help:

So, the point now is whether some form of intelligence or memory, or
even consciousness (which is something so subtle that no one can
truly comprehend), is embedded or encoded in energy. I have to stop
here and we are getting too far-fetched, albeit science fiction-like.
Stephen, the sentence you quoted from SN "naamaruupa-samudaaya
cittassa samudayo" seems to be a compacted form of Dependent
Origination, is this sutta dicussing paticca-samuppada?
metta,

I am always fascinated when the Buddha sometimes mention about beings
in the form of energy, such as light. If naama is matter, and is part
of being sentient, the question is whether energy = matter. We should
consider ourselves lucky, as Einstein seems to have proven the Buddha
right, that matter = energy (doing a great favour to us, and sparing
us from argument). Quantum scientists have further proved that light
and many forms of energy actually take a form, that of quantums. So,
now it is clear to me that it is possible that sentient beings can
really exist in the form of light.
