Dear Suan Lu Zaw,

That's most generous of you.

Of course you don't ! You seem to be a sraddha-anusarin, so that aproach is
right for you.

For my part, I am not in the least offended by your speaking as a sincere
believer. What might offend me is the confusion you seem to have between
faith and knowledge. You would like others to think that your beliefs are
knowledge which they are not. The same, naturally, applies to my beliefs.
I do not expect you to share them but what I would ask you to do is to show
the same forbearance to my beliefs as others do to yours -- I and others are
just as sincere in our beliefs as you..

Would you like to introduce or extend anti-blasphemy laws as well ? I have
not seen anybody being disrespectful towards any part of your list above --
most of the disrespect seems to come from you as we can see from your final
paragraph. Honest discussion and critique are perfectly valid if once you
begin to make knowledge / factual claims.

Where exactly in the Pali Tipitaka does it instruct Buddhists to speak to
each other in this angry and aggressive tone ? Is this the kind of
"psychotherapy" you offer on your Bodhiology courses ?

Best wishes,
Stephen Hodge
