Come to think of it, I think I should have said "atta-ditthi-based", since asmimana refers to positioning oneself in relation to others: I'm greater than... , I'm lesser than... , I'm the same as...

But, yes, it's about self-referencing. When the thought occurred in me about having the same inclination as you do, I noticed that the "feeling" of I-ness was definitely very strong then, and the thought arose dependent of that.
