Dear Pali friends,

This Internet group provides us with great possibilities to enhance
our knowledge of Pali. Yet I feel that we have yet to tap fully into
the rich resources of learning that Internet can provide.

I have studied some modern language learning formats, and one of
especially convenient layouts that attracted my attention is Flash.

Here is an example of Flash application to learning Pali:

Such Flash exercises can be used to learn grammar, vocabulary, syntax,
as in English courses:

http://www.spellmaster.com
http://www.quia.com/tutoract.html

Anyone can easily create the exercise using the web forms:

http://a4esl.org/c/qw.html
http://a4esl.org/c/bilingual.html
http://www.swift-tools.net/index.html?generator

Such Flashes are relatively easy to create with the templates provided
in Flash MX PRO:

http://livedocs.macromedia.com/flash/mx2004/main/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context=Flash_MX_2004_Documentation&file=19_elea4.htm

You can see the example of the templates application at:

http://club.coolmaps.com/flashmx/flashmxquiz.htm

I sincerely hope that some of you will appreciate the possibilities of
such interactive learning, and we will make Pali courses that use the
advanced Internet technology.

For example, we can start by making the Pali Primer by Lily de Silva
an interactive course.

Best wishes,
Dimitry
