Invitation to attend weekly meditation classes in NC

On Sunday May 2nd there will be a new weekly meditation class
forming at Wat Greensboro, 2715 Liberty Rd, Greensboro, NC. The
class lead by Phra Achan Dhammarato Bhikkhu will focus on
mindfulness of breathing (Anapanasati) as taught at Wat Suan Mokkh,
Thailand. This class includes topics on happiness and loving
kindness. Eventually the deeper dhammâ topics will be covered
including seven factors of awakening, the four Noble stages of
development and will include sutta discussions from the Majjhimâ
Nikâya. All classes are in native English.
There are already weekly classes ongoing in Charlotte and Columbia,
SC. Each weekly class (Sundays in Greensboro, Tuesdays in
Charlotte, and Wednesdays in Columbia) starts at 7:30 PM and ends at
9:30 PM. Each week's class begins with a guided meditation and
concludes with a Dhammâ talk and discussion.
Day long meditation retreats are planned. Occasionally 9 day
retreats will be held, the first just finished (April 3-11). The
next 9 day retreats will be held this summer (to be announced) and
December 17-26).
