thanks for that. I have actually made a copy of the PTS English
suttas used in Word by Word, but for Mahaparinibbana, I only have
part of it because I forgot it is a long sutta, and mistakenly took
the end of part 1 as the end of the sutta.

would you tell us roughly what the comparison is about? Thanks again.

N:Comparing translations: PTS (2, 131): this adds six hundred, and
adds: in comparison: what in comparison, lord, can these five hundred
carts do... etc.
Wheel 67-69: What, O lord, are five hundred carts- nay six, seven...
etc...compared with this?
I think this addition of comparison is made because of the context.
