I just found this list, and joined.
To present myself:
I was born in 1946 and took the refuges in 1968, for
the Swedish-born dasasiilamaataa Amitaa Nisatta. I've
been active in the Swedish Buddhist movement since
then.
Since 1970, I have been working as a literary
translator, and have managed to translate and
self-publish some translations from Pali as well.
Since 1979, I have also been active in the Esperanto
movement, including the Buddhist Leage of Esperantists
(Budhana Ligo Esperantista), which, after some years
of non-existence, was re-founded in 2002 (and was then
careless enough to elect me its president).
My latest publicated Pali translations are a Swedish
and an Esperanto version of the Dhammapada.
I have recently received, from the Goenka people,
their Chattha Sa"ngaayana CD, with all the Tipitaka,
Atthakatha, Tika, Visuddhimagga, Mahavamsa and a lot
of other Pali texts; I will never have a chance to
read more than a small part of it during my remaining
years, but it's good for referency (and I certainly
wouldn't have place for it all in book form; modern
technology has its advantages).
In the Dhamma,
Gunnar Gällmo
