Hello Yong Peng, sorry I wish I could speak more authoritatively. I
practiced as a yogi for about 15 years, and I recall every year in May we celebrated
some Hindu religious holiday, so if memory serves me correctly, it is either
Shivaratry and/or Gurupurnima. In the case of Pagan holidays, I also practiced
for about 10 years in a Pagan community, and I found that dates and
celebrations within the Pagan community can be highly variable depending on the origins
of that Pagan community. However Pagans tend to follow a lunar calendar, like
Buddhists, and many Pagan communities observed rights in May. May Day is one
of those rights. Even though I believe May Day is celebrated on the first of
May these days, it is likely to have been observed on the full moon during
traditional times.

Kindest regards,

Jef Brooks

Dear Jeff, Jim and friends,

thanks. While I don't rule out the possibilities, it is surprising
that the full moon day of May were both European and Hindu holidays.
Can you give more details above the two holidays? Thanks.
