Dear Piya and friends,

I paid Piya a visit yesterday. Piya, thanks for your hospitality. We
discussed about plans for the mailing list, among other things. As I
will advancing my studies in engineering commencing March, I am
unable to say how much time I can commit for Pali studies for now.
However, the following is what I have planned to do.

I will complete Pali Primer, as per Pali Day by Day Series A, by end
of May. Following that, I will start on Ven. Narada's An Elementary
Pali Course, a widely circulated free-distribution Pali text on the
web. http://www.tipitaka.net/pali/course/

Pali Word by Word will continue as usual, but I plan to increase to
two words per week by the end of the year. At the same time, I will
increase the scope of Pali sentences to nine suttas from the current
three. The sentences may now come from the following suttas: DN1
Brahmajala Sutta, DN2 Sama~n~naphala Sutta, DN12 Lohicca Sutta, DN15
Mahanidana Sutta, DN16 Mahaparinibbana Sutta, DN22 Mahasatipatthana
Sutta, DN24 Pathika Sutta, DN25 Udumbarika Sutta, and DN31 Sigalovada
Sutta.

We will also finish the translation of Maharahulovada Sutta this
year. At the same time, I hope to complete the Trilinear versions of
Aggikkhandopama Sutta and Humhumka Sutta. At the end of which, we
will start on another sutta.

metta,
Yong Peng
