sorry if it is confusing. I had also checked the PTS English
translation, but it seems the translator has reorganised the English
text. That is, of course, fine. However, the sentence is in the Pali
passage:

If the "printed copy" is correct, the sentence is on the first line
of PTS Pali Page 072. But, I will put the entire paragraph 54 here:

[PTS Page 71] Seyyathaapi mahaaraaja puriso i.na.m aadaaya kammante
payojeyya, tassa te kammantaa samijjheyyu.m, so yaani ca poraa.naani
i.namuulaani taani ca byantiikareyya, siyaa cassa uttari.m
avasi.t.tha.m daarabhara.naaya, tassa evamassa: "aha.m kho pubbe
