Hi again,

Koci is formed from ko + ci (ci represents what in sanskrit is
cit/cana/api for forming indefinite pronouns).

So to get keci, you start with ke and then add the ci.

The final result is still indeclinable, even though you declined the
ka along the way. Another way of saying it is that the declined part
(ke) is internal to the word. You don't add any further endings after
the -ci part, which comes at the end.
