Hello Everyone,
My name is Brad Clough, and I am a new member of the group. The
moderator suggested that I introduce myself, so here goes.
I am a scholar of Theravada Buddhism and the Pali language. One area I
focus on is places in the tipitaka which discuss meditative theory and
practice. I also focus on Theravada as it has been and is now practiced
in Sri Lanka. In terms of contemporary issues, I am particularly
interested the popular meditation revival in the past century, the ways
in which Buddhists practice in a communal way, and Buddhist ethics.
Currently I am working on an study and translation of a remarkable 12th
century guide on lay persons' ethics, entitled the Upasakajanalankara.
In terms of personal practice, I am currently working with the
anapanasati technique, and trying to live in accordance with Buddhist
ethics.

Santii,
Brad
