Irrigators direct water, fletchers fashion arrows,
Carpenters shape wood, and the wise tame themselves.

Selo yathaa ekaghano - vaatena na samiirati;
eva.m nindaapasa.msaasu - na sami~njanti pa.n.ditaa.
Just as a solid rock is not moved by the wind,
So the wise are not shaken by blame or praise.
