Dear Dimitry and friends,
as far as I know, the work is compiled by Ven. Weragoda Sarada. I
understand the stories by Daw Mya Tin is an abridged version. But, to
me, Ven. Weragoda's version is similarly short. The source is the
commentary written by Buddhaghosa.
I will download the illustrated version tomorrow at school. The
english verses are contained in that version. I agree Daw's verses is
clear and correct representation.

Do you know who is the real translator of the stories?
The version at http://web.ukonline.co.uk/buddhism/dmpada.htm by Daw
Mya Tin seems more like original work to me, and the translation of
the verses is better.
