Dear Yong Peng,

OYP> Dhammapada 1
OYP> Manopubba'ngamaa dhammaa, manose.t.thaa manomayaa;
OYP> preceded by mind / mental qualities / headed by mind / shaped by mind
OYP> Preceded by the mind are all mental qualities, headed and shaped by
OYP> the mind.

Having read the commentary, I must say that there is a deep meaning in
this verse, much more than the usual shallow translation expresses.
It tells about a delicate interplay of 'mano' and the three
aruupa-khandhaa constituting citta (vedanaa, sa~n~naa, sa'nkhaara).

So I suggest to explore the commentary as well. A portion of it is
included in my today's message on the meaning of 'dhamma'.
