Nina: We have had many words now on -gata, and I also looked in the
Visuddhimagga translation. Having gone to, litterally. I was also, like
Piya, thinking of: having the nature of, having the condiiton of. But, at
times I am inclined not to translate-gata, it becomes rather clumsy in
translation. We have found some solutions in the Maharahulovada Sutta so
far, giving a variety of the main word, like fiery etc.
As to space, we have to think of space inside the body, as it is elaborated
on in the Commentary: the intestines etc. They are void. Rahula had to see
this as not self, not mine.
Then we read later on he should develop a mind like space.
