Venerable Samanera Samahita,
thank you.
The Patisambhida Magga is deep in meaning, the whole book is about the
development of right understanding. The English translation puts off many
people, since it is often not so clear. I find that it helps to look at the
back, at the index, first finding the English and then the Pali equivalent,
so that we know what dhamma is referred to. The notes at the end of each
chapter are also helpful. I like very much the Ch on the Buddha's Great
Compassion and on his Omniscience.
It is very difficult to absorb many lines of this difficult book at a time.
If you like, you could give us just one or two lines at a time with the
Pali, so that we can study it. One of our members, Dimitri, studies the Pali
text of this book.
I found the English so difficult and therefore I bought the Thai text and
Commentary (two huge volumes).
It depends on you what you would like to do.
With many thanks,
Nina.
