bhikkhave, tatiyo sama.nabraahma.naana.m upakkileso
yena upakkilesena upakkili.t.thaa eke
sama.nabraahma.naa na tapanti, na bhaasanti, na
virocanti.
There are, monks, some Brahmins and recluses that
appropriate gold and silver, and show no restraint
from receiving gold and silver. This, monks, is the
third defilement of Brahmins and recluses, tainted
with which, some Brahmins and recluses do not shine,
are not lustrous, and are dim.
