I appreciate your mention of MahaKaccayana, who was ranked by the
Buddha as "the foremost of those who analyze in detail the meaning
of what was stated (by me) in brief" (aggam sankhittena bhasitassa
vittharena attham vibhajantanam). Here is a small book about him
