Dear Teng Kee,

I'm curious to know why you think I need these two volumes. I think
I'll pass up on travelling to Burma to get photocopies of them, but
I'm willing to wait for their printing in Sri Lanka. I suppose I'll
have to learn to read the Sinhalese script. Please send me the address
and let me know if you hear before me that they've been published. I'm
unfamiliar with these books but I see that the ~Naasa is listed in the
CPD bibliography just below Kaccaayana-vutti. It is also known as the
Mukhamattadiipanii (Mmd) which Smith in the Saddaniti often gives
references to. I don't know which Culanirutti you refer to. The two
listed in CPD come under the names of two different authors:
Yamakamahaathera and Saddhammaala"nkaara. There is none listed for
Sanghanandi. It seems like there must be a 100 grammar texts listed in
CPD and most of them are not familiar to me. Thank-you for your
consideration.

Jim

<< Dear Jim,I am not insulting that you poor because I am very poor in
fact.Warder hasn't read mahanirutti(nirutipitaka in leaves only)by
kaccayana himself. Also culanirutti by yamaka if not not the other two
vyakarana -bodhisatta.....What I see the 2 vol you need are Nyasa by
vimalabuddhi.and culanirutti by sanghnandi.I cannot give you the
bookshop to photostat the old copy from them because they always send
the wrong book from yangon.I asked for kaccayanavutti but they sent
kaccayana,moggalananvadi(susaddasankhepa)but they sent moggalana
only.If you can wait ,srilanka will reprint this two books soon,600
pages in one vol.The best is travel to burma and pay them to photocopy
the books. >>
