Dear John, though aging does not necessarily imply senescence (at least in
the immediate sense), the sense of nuance must be a help to ñaa.na, sati
and vipassanaa rather than a possible hindrance - and it's true that the
first contact with a text is often the one which leaves the strongest
imprint. So, agreed, from now on the sentence becomes at Buddhayatana:

"aging is inevitable" --- well, one word has not changed, "is" -- not too
bad :)

Nuance may come in the discussion rather than straight ahead.

process of aging rather than the state of old age.
Thank you for reminding us of that.

While I, as someone who enjoys words and who has
studied Latin, certainly appreciate the beauty and
precision of the word "senescence", and acknowledge
that the majority of educated people would recognize
it, it must be said that it would not be as instantly
recognizable by the wider public as something as
simple as "aging". Thus, my suggestion for your
translation would be "aging is inevitable". Though,
of course, you know your own group better than any of
us, and perhaps the way you currently have it is
perfectly suitable for your targeted audience.
